Reliable partner with broad technical and design expertise!

The Hookux team did an awesome job of understanding the functionality of our old site and the requirements we had for the new site. They were extremely knowledgeable about the options available in terms of technology, and made recommendations specific to our needs.

We especially wanted the transition to cause as little disruption to existing customers as possible, and Hookux worked hard to achieve that. They came up with a new architecture for the site, did the bulk of the work of documenting all the functionality (epic mapping), and made a variety of substantive suggestions for how to improve our customer and admin experience right off the bat. We didn't always choose to go with their suggestions, but the discussion always led us to a solution better than we would have come up with alone!

After the primary project, we signed a retainer for maintenance, and also did several additional large projects to add significant new features.

Describe your project in brief

Our e-learning platform had originally been built in ColdFusion, which was starting to feel dated and also had a very long turnaround time for developing new features.

We choose Hookux to re-architect the site, designing it to retain all of the features our customers already loved, while adding in several features we'd been wanting to build for ages, and designing it to be easy to add new enhancements at a later date as new needs and opportunities arose.

We wanted to launch the new site to coincide with launching a new product and our peak sales time, which meant it was a very tight timeframe for the scope of work.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Everyone I've worked with at Hookux has been friendly, professional, and highly intelligent. They're happy to explain when I have questions, and willing to listen and ask questions when I explain business needs or technical glitches. We have a great working relationship, and I can recommend the company without any reservations.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

I can't think of anything. They're super responsive any time we run into an issue, up to and including process changes to prevent future problems, so we don't have any concerns.

After meeting with 4 other companies trying to build our website, the meeting we had with Hookux was by far the best when we made it to them. I wish we would have found them sooner. The professionalism and courtesy of everyone I've interacted with on their team has set the standard for what I expect when dealing with others.
The Project Managers and Account Director I have been assigned are diligent in ensuring that the vision is fulfilled and that workflow is proceeding. I have been kept up to date on my project, weekly meetings to adjust as necessary, and in misunderstandings the team are quick to address them so we continue to work in the same direction. They were able to track the data, set up a user interface that was very intuitive, and curated the experience expandable. We weren't just handed the keys without any education, and have been walked through how to do everything. We elected to go through a continued maintenance plan.
